The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), founded in 1964, is a nationwide non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on Six Principles – Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development.
AYSO provides world-class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives. AYSO Region 45 provides soccer to over 2000 boys and girls in grades K-12 from Mountain View and the southern portion of Los Altos, but children from any area can register. We are an All-Volunteer organization so please consider Volunteering!
Twenty two teams from our U-12 and U-14 programs entered day 1 of the AYSO Area 2A playoff tournament out of a total of 64 teams. Twelve of the sixteen teams remaining in the tournament are from region 45 with 3 teams in the semifinals for every division ensuring at minimum one region 45 team will be in the finals for every tourney. Visit http://www.ayso2a.org/area-tournament for more information to learn where you can go see one of these exciting semifinal matches December 8th in the morning. At a minimum one region 45 U12 girl team will be playing in the Section 2 Tournament the following weekend in Foster City. How many more teams will be moving on to the Pacific Northwest championship tourney remains to bwe seen.
All region 45 fields are OPEN 12/7 & 12/8 for teams participating in U12 / U14 Area 2A playoffs & spring select teams.
