as well.  Same league, but each school or group of schools manages their 
referee assignments separately.

Hey AYSO Referees,
Do not put away your whistle and flags yet! Middle School Soccer will 
start up in January, and we really need referees and assistant referees 
for those games.
 
For information about refereeing at Miller, Hyde, Cupertino, and Lawson 
Middle Schools middle schools, please contact Allen Madanipour at

For information about refereeing at Sunnyvale and Columbia Middle

Games at Miller, Cupertino, Lawson, and Hyde pay $30 for center referee, 
and $25 for each assistant referee. Games at Sunnyvale and Columbia 
Middle Schools pay $30 for center and $30 for each assistant referee. 
Each school pays at the end of the season (approximately).
 
For Sunnyvale and Columbia you must register as an employee of the City 
of Sunnyvale, and there is a process for doing that. If you went through 
the process last year, *you do not need to repeat it.* If you are 
interested in going through the process, it involves paperwork, a 
fingerprint check, and a drug test. I can send you the information, and 
the people at the city office will help you get through it. High School 
students also will need to obtain a Work Permit from their school district.
 
All games start at 3:45pm, and you need to be at the field at least 25 
minutes before game time (please be there by 3:20pm). The games use the 
3 referee system, and the league requires an adult (18+) for center.
 
*PLEASE NOTE: WE REALLY NEED REFS FOR SUNNYVALE AND COLUMBIA.* If you 
are willing to go through the process with the city of Sunnyvale, you 
will get lots of games. The process takes a little bit of time, but only 
has to be done once, then you are good for all future seasons.
