[ayso45-refs] Free Kicks

Greetings Ref's:

 

I referred U7B and U8B.  I am now helping to coach U9B.

 

For U7 & U8 I recall that Free Kicks awarded to the attacking team inside
the defending team's goal area were to be taken ON (from) the goal line (at
the nearest point to the infraction of the line in front of the goal).

 

Is this the law (no free kicks inside the goal area) for U9 in AYSO 45?  If
not what is our law?

 

 

My question arise as a couple of weekend a couple games back I saw a direct
free kick taken from the point of infraction inside the goal area.  

 

 

I received my original training at Palo Alto AYSO Region 26, and (at least
in 2003) for U7-U9 all free kicks were in-direct.  This seems like a good
way to go to me.
