Coaches, refs, and new referee volunteers:

I'm passing along a message sent earlier today to the very small number
of referee volunteers signed up for the August 22/23/24 training classes:

     With great regret I have to inform you that the AYSO U8 Official
     and U10 Regional Referee classes scheduled for August 22-24 have
     been canceled.  There just has not been sufficient interest to
     hold the class.  As the Instructors are also Volunteers who give
     up their free time to teach the classes, it is too much to ask of
     them to teach a class with only 2 or 3 attendees.  I encourage you
     to sign up for one of the following classes, Saturday the 26th, or
     Tuesday - Thursday August 29 - 31.  Remember, it is for the kids.

Coaches, especially U7/U8/U9/U10: please remind your team referees to
RSVP for the training class that they plan to take.  This applies to
all referee volunteers who are new this season.  It also applies to
returning U8 Officials who are moving up to U9/U10 and need to upgrade
from U8 Official to Regional Referee.

New referees and upgrading referees: please be sure to use the RSVP

We really want to ensure that we have a full complement of trained
referees for the start of this fall's AYSO season.
