[ayso45-dcs] PRELIMINARY schedule of fall 2008 referee training classes

Division Coordinators,

As discussed at Wednesday's board meeting:

The schedule for referee training in our region is not quite final.  The 
dates on the attached draft schedule are fairly definite, but the 
locations are not, yet.  We cannot confirm our room reservations with 
the local schools until their school offices reopen in early August.

You will find the most up-to-date AYSO referee training schedules posted 
here, starting in early August:

The procedure for registering for referee classes is also posted there, 
but will be updated for 2008 before/when the schedule is posted.

Every U7, U8, and U10 team must have /at least/ one team referee.  Two 
per team is much better, especially for U10 where three referees are 
needed for every game (center and two assistants).

We need more referees at the U12 and U14 level as well!  Without more 
trained referees, there are going to be games this season without full 
referee crews!

Please encourage your referee volunteers, coaches, and team parents to 
get the team referees to attend the training classes in late August.  It 
makes for a better season for everyone if the referees are trained 
before the first games.
